What is Global City Beats?

Global City Beats is a Film-Project and competition where Yahoo! Users and Filmmakers worldwide can upload their short films and videos from 2 to 8 Minutes to participate in the project.

The Short Movies can be in any of the following genres: Animation, Action, Adventure, Comedy, Crime, Drama, Documentary, Disaster, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Romance, Science fiction, Sports,etc.

The films have to be good quality.

Upload your Video to Yahoo! Video at http://video.yahoo.com and use the tag “Global City Beats Yahoo!” or send a mail with the name of the Movie, the page the movie can be seen and your contact details to globalcitybeats@yahoo.de

Our jury will then pick the 15-20 best short-films which will be part of a theatre movie. This movie will later be promoted through TV, DVD and Internet.

What awaits you…

All Users whose short film is chosen to be part of the movie will receive 1.000 Euros and a 15% pro rata revenue share from the motion picture and a 10% pro rata share from all other revenues made (DVD,TV,Download…). There will be a separate contract to ensure this.

The films may be changed and edited by us. The films should be sent to us without music/score since we will compose and produce all the music and score with popular artists from the international Rap and Dance scene.

Participation is free of charge.

Users whose videos are picked by the jury will be contacted via E-mail. A copy of the film must then be sent to us within 8 days.

Participants must be available for promotional activities around the time of the movie-release.
